These 7 Companies Raised Their Dividends This Week

D.R. Horton raised its quarterly dividend by 13%.

D.R. Horton , Roper Technologies , and Lancaster Colony were among the U.S. companies that declared dividend increases this week.

Home builder D.R. Horton (ticker: DHI) declared a quarterly dividend of 22.5 cents a share, up 13% from 20 cents. The stock, which yields 0.9%, has returned about 41% this year as of Thursday’s close, dividends included—compared with a 25% return for the S&P 500.

Software company Roper Technologies (ROP) said it plans to boost its quarterly disbursement to 62 cents a share, an increase of 10% from 56.25 cents. It marks the 29th consecutive annual dividend increase for the company. The stock has returned about 12% year to date, and it yields 0.5%.

Lancaster Colony (LANC), which makes food products such as frozen breads, dressings, and dips, said it will raise its quarterly dividend to 80 cents a share. That’s an increase of nearly 7% from 75 cents. The stock, which yields 2%, has returned around minus 10% this year.

This marks the 59th straight year in which the company has boosted its regular cash dividend.

Automatic Data Processing (ADP) declared a quarterly dividend of $1.04 a share, up 11 cents, or 12%. That equates to an annual dividend of $4.16 a share.

The stock, which has returned about 32% this year, yields 1.8%. This is the 47th straight year in which the company has raised its quarterly dividend.

Travel + Leisure (TNL) declared a quarterly dividend of 35 cents a share from 30 cents. That’s an increase of 17%. The company, which operates timeshare properties, is expanding into other travel-related areas. The stock, which yields 2.1%, has returned about 26% this year.

Natural gas distributor Atmos Energy (ATO) plans to boost its quarterly dividend to 68 cents a share from 62.5 cents. That’s an increase of nearly 9%. The stock, which yields 2.9%, has returned about 1% this year.

Insurance company Assurant (AIZ) has approved a 3% increase for its quarterly common stock dividend. It plays to pay 68 cents a share, up 2 cents. The stock, which yields 1.7%, has returned about 19% year to date.
