• U.S. stocks are set to open Monday slightly down. On Sunday night, Dow Jones Industrial Average futures had lost 7 points, or 0.02%, while the S&P 500 futures lost 0.10% and Nasdaq Composite futures lost 0.16%. This week’s earnings include:  on Monday; Fastena,l on Tuesday; BlackRock , Delta Air Lines , First Republic Bank and JPMorgan Chase, on Wednesday; Bank of America , Citigroup , Morgan Stanley , U.S. Bancorp , UnitedHealth Group , Walgreens Boots Alliance and Wells Fargo, on Thursday; and Goldman Sachs , J.B. Hunt Transport Services , and PNC Financial Services on Friday. This week’s notable economic events include: On Tuesday, the Bureau of Labor Statistics releases the Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey and the National Federation of Independent Business releases its Small Business Optimism Index for September. On Wednesday, BLS reports consumer price data for September and the Federal Open Market Committee releases the minutes from its September monetary-policy meeting. On Thursday, the BLS reports the producer price index for September. On Friday, the Census Bureau will release the September retail sales report for September and the University of Michigan reports its Consumer Sentiment Index for October.
