Berkshire Hathaway has named Susan Buffett, the daughter of CEO and Chairman Warren Buffett, and investment manager Chris Davis to its board of directors.

The moves expand the size of Berkshire’s board to 15.

Susan Buffett, 68, is the chairman of the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation and the chairman of the Sherwood Foundation, each of which is a private, grant-making foundation based in Omaha, Neb.

Chris Davis, 54, is chairman of Davis Select Advisors, an investment management firm. He has been a longtime investor in Berkshire Hathaway. He is also on the board of Coca-Cola (KO), a major investment of Berkshire since the late 1980s.

The board of Berkshire (ticker: BRK.A and BRK.B) had previously had 14 directors. Late last month, Walter Scott, a former top executive at the Omaha-based construction and engineering company Kiewit and a Berkshire board member since 1988, died at the age of 90.

Warren Buffett’s elder son, Howard Buffett, has been on Berkshire’s board since 1993. Howard Buffett is expected to succeed his father, now 91, as chairman.

Berkshire didn’t elaborate on either board member in making the announcement.
